At KOA, we want to become your first source for all things camping related. And that, of course, includes tasty, yummy, tummy-pleasing recipes perfect for campground cooking. So we’re turning to you, our trusted readers, to ask for your help.
Do you have a dessert that dazzles? A stew that astounds? Perhaps a main dish that amazes? Well, we want you to share ‘em with us!
But wait—there’s more! (C’mon, you had to know that was coming!) Everyone who enters a recipe will be entered to win a fantastic Coleman “camping kitchen” valued at $500 MSRP.* One winner will be drawn from all entries on August 23, 2010.
And here’s something we think you’ll love: you get one contest entry for every recipe you submit!
Now, go gather your favorite recipes and start entering them in our easy-to-use form. And if you have a picture of your favorite dish, please be sure to attach it. If not, we’d love to have you add a photo of yourself in the kitchen or enjoying your favorite camping spot.
So kampers, let’s start cookin’ up some fun! Enter today!
*We’re hoping that our loyal campers in Alaska, Hawaii and Massachusetts will send us their tastiest recipes; however, they are ineligible to win the Coleman camping kitchen in accordance with state law.

Oh this is great! I can’t wait to enter–because I would love to win that kitchen thing. Our stuff is DEFINITELY in need of replacement.
Move over Peggy…..we’ve got this one in the bag dear…. Now which one of the recipes is the question…..
TO ALL: May the best recipe win!!!!!
Why not publish a cookbook with all these recipes and have them available on line or at the Kampgrounds.
That would be great.
Oh step aside Ladies, this one is all mine. I think the cookbook is a great
idea, eeverytime I camp someone, somewhere is cooking something that is
wonderful to smell. May the best campcook win. good luck to all.
While I do enjoy a really good meal & my husband will eat most anything, which is really a good thing, when we first bought a towable unit with a microwave I nealy cried with joy … no more heating up my world. And at a certain age women don’t need any more heat in their lives! Then I discovered the frozen food section at the grocery and learn how to really stuff the RV’s freezer. Life on the road really became great. Oh, on occasion I actually cook real food now … but I’m on vacation. Good luck to all of those willing to heat up their world. I wish you lots of great meals.
What??? Massachusetts residents are not eligible to win the Coleman camping kitchen??? Wouldn’t you know…BUT I’ll submit a recipe anyways. Maybe it will make the cookbook…
We’re glad you’re sharing your recipe(s) with us Sue!
This isn’t a recipe but just want to share the easiest way to make corn on the cob, especially if you are in an RV. Find some fresh corn at a farm stand and pop it in the microwave husks and all. You can put a wet paper towel over about four of them and cook on high for about 10 minutes for the four. When you take them out, use hot pads and peel back the husks. The best part is that the silks come right off with the husks and no picking of them is necessary. Be careful, you need the the hot pads!!
I just entered the contest but forgot to attach a picture of the dish. Can I still do that separately?
What a great idea for the cookbook. I know I’d love to buy one!
The cookbook is a great idea! I would love to see what other campers are cooking!
My grandaughter (6 yr) and I are having fun sharing our recipes for this contest. She was thrilled to enter her favorite dish that she made up herself!
